The usual starting point is the Tax Function 360° Review. If you already have a defined question, go straight to the service it concerns. Each engagement has a written scope and a price agreed in writing: a fixed fee for project work.
You sense the tax function could run better, but not where to start or what it would take.
A senior-led review of people, process, data and technology, governance, sourcing and business alignment, built from interviews and evidence.
A short diagnosis and a priority agenda, in two to four weeks, at a fixed fee, with a decision gate at the end.
The Review is sold on its own, at a fixed fee, with no sales target attached to it. It recommends what we think you should do, including where that is work we do not sell, work better placed elsewhere or nothing at all. It never recommends one of our own tools. More on independence.
Most improvement plans stall after the report: too broad to act on or nobody has time to set up the mapping, build the automation or run the first cycle in the new way.
A roadmap you can act on and, where you choose execution, a working process in your own environment, documented and owned by your team.
When we deliver, we cannot also be the independent check on our own work. You can appoint a firm of your choice to review the tax-technical treatments and we provide the working papers. How that works.
Tax numbers are rebuilt by hand from ledger extracts, so they are slow to produce and hard to explain.
A data map with control points and a sequenced plan for automation that delivers clear value.
The provision, the CIT return and the Pillar Two filing draw on the same data, yet each one is built separately.
We set up the reporting cycle as one flow:
A working cycle with reconciliations at each step, handed to your team or your existing adviser.
E-invoicing and real-time reporting move VAT control into the invoice itself. An error in master data, a tax code or the ERP set-up reaches the tax authority with the invoice, not when the return is filed.
The direction is clear and some dates are fixed. The EU adopted VAT in the Digital Age in March 2025, with digital reporting of intra-EU B2B transactions from 1 July 2030 (Council of the EU). In Ireland, businesses whose tax affairs are managed by Revenue's Large Corporates Division must send e-invoices to Irish business customers and report data from them to Revenue from 1 November 2028 and every business in Ireland must be able to receive them from that date (Revenue). The Dutch government plans domestic B2B e-invoicing from 1 July 2030 and reporting from 1 July 2031. That still needs legislation, with a bill expected before summer 2027 (Rijksoverheid).
A one-page readiness view per country and invoice flow, with a prioritised roadmap.
Master File, Local Files and the Country-by-Country Report are assembled by hand each year, from data that does not quite agree with the tax return. Intercompany prices are often corrected at year end instead of being right during the year.
A documentation and OTP process that reuses one dataset, with a calendar and named owners.
Tax now runs on data: ledger extracts, Pillar Two returns, e-invoices and the near real-time reporting now on its way. The people who prepare or examine the numbers need to understand where that data comes from and how it is transformed on the way to a return.
A tailored programme with hands-on exercises and reference material, delivered by senior practitioners who have worked inside tax functions and built the technology they use.
We also advise taxpayers. Training for a tax authority covers methods and data, never a named taxpayer and uses no client information. We check every authority engagement against our client work and decline it where a conflict cannot be managed.
We tell you when the incumbent platform is overpriced, when an off-the-shelf tool beats a custom build and when the boring solution is correct. Our advice does not depend on you buying from us.
We use AI where it earns its place: research, reading documents and compliance-grade automation. Every deliverable that touches the law is cited and reviewed by a qualified tax practitioner. The model is never the author of a number that goes to a tax authority. Not every task suits AI. We use it only where it is reliable and practical and we do not sell AI stories or use cases that do not hold up in practice.
A senior practitioner challenges your current adviser's position, computation or roadmap.
1–3 weeksFix one part of the tax function that is visibly broken. Defined input, output and end.
4–8 weeksReplace a manual workflow with a controlled system: provision, VAT return preparation, return-to-provision, GloBE data.
6–14 weeksA documented 12 to 24 month plan: operating model, technology, hiring and sequencing.
4–10 weeksA senior practitioner works with the Head of Tax two to five days a month, on a rolling term. Priced in writing on a rolling term, not a fixed fee.
6–18 monthsFull programme delivery, from roadmap through automation to operating-model handover.
12–24 monthsPositions taken on a return are always the taxpayer's. We deliver the analysis, the working papers and the documentation that support them to a professional standard. How an engagement runs.
Fifteen minutes is usually enough to tell. If none of them does, we'll say so.
